Our Elder Law Practice Continues to Grow!

Planning for your future long term care needs at WED has never been easier, as 2021 saw the establishment of our Elder Law Team. Lead by Attorney Nicole Camporeale, our stellar Elder Law attorneys counsel our clients and their loved ones on their opportunity to protect assets well in advance of needing long term care, proactively planning and applying for Medicaid (Title XIX), and establishing Estate Planning documents to assist those who actively need assistance. Of course we couldn’t dream of achieving the level of customer service and efficiency we’re proudly able to offer without the invaluable contributions of our Elder Law staff—Daniela Laspino and Melany Salvador!

With a growing elder population in need of long term care services at home, in assisted or independent living facilities, or skilled nursing homes, family is often left with the difficult task of providing high levels of financial management and even personal care services for their loved ones. Our Elder Law Team is here to help you and your family through these difficult transitions in life. We can answer the difficult questions like, “What is Medicaid and how do we qualify?”, “Can we protect assets from needing to be spent down on nursing home care?” and “How do we protect assets for the spouse who doesn’t need care?”.

Please keep in mind that planning well in advance of needing long term care is ideal if your goal is to protect large value assets from needing to be liquidated and spent at a nursing home or for home care services. Our Estate Planning and Elder Law teams work together to establish Irrevocable Medicaid Asset Protection Trusts to protect your real estate and/or investment accounts. When you work hard to accumulate assets throughout your life, the goal is to leave a legacy for children and grandchildren—not to watch it dwindle entirely away in your later years. We are here to help you accomplish those goals.
